ABOUT ME

Catherine qualified as a dental surgeon from Queen’s University Belfast in 2006. She worked in Ballymena for 3 years as an associate before travelling to Australia to work in 2009. On returning home in 2010, she worked in Belfast before settling in Downshire Dental in 2013. Over the last 10 years Catherine has enjoyed looking after her list of patients at Downshire, providing a wide range of general and cosmetic dentistry. In June 2019 Catherine and Tracey became owners and principal dentists at Downshire.

Continual Professional development is so important to Catherine and her additional qualifications include –

A diploma for membership of the Joint Dental facilities in the Royal College of Surgeons England (2013)

An accredited course with Array Aesthetics in Botox and Dermal Fillers (2018)

A fixed orthodontic course with the IAS academy in London in 2019.

In 2020  became an accredited Educational Supervisor with the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency helping to supervise newly qualified dentists in general practice.

A post graduate certificate in advanced restorative dentistry with the Tipton Academy in 2021.

In 2022 achieved a post graduate certificate with commendation in clinical education with Queens University Belfast.

Catherine is passionate about mentoring peers and developing new skills. Particular interests include crown and bridge work, root canal treatment, tooth wear and TMJ problems.
